The Drake Magazine is a long running fly fishing magazine. In June of 2017, they launched a podcast hosted by Elliott Adler called The DrakeCast. The podcast shared similarities with the magazine, focusing on story and culture.
Adler was an unassuming host. Someone listening to the podcast for the first time might have confused it for a segment of All Things Considered on NPR. It grew on me over time. Whatever it was, I learned to like it and now, after 49 episodes, it’s gone.
