Tarpon have been nosing around Sarasota, FL for awhile this spring. Challenging weather and sea conditions have made the start of tarpon season a little tougher than normal. But anglers are getting fish and are getting plenty of shots at fish when conditions have been acceptable. There’s a named tropical system pushing through this weekend which will likely create challenging conditions next week, but, glass smooth seas and light breezes are just around the corner.

Action for juvenile tarpon can be electric when you find them on the right night.
